It's Official, I Have a New Hobby...Again!


So after playing with photoshop, I realized my current camera just wasn't cutting it... so, I treated my self to a new Canon Rebel XT.  I know the XTi is the newest thing, but it was an additional $150, and I figured I'd rather use that towards a second fancy lense.  

I was playing around with it today and took this...
  (For the record, I don't believe The Boy is throwing gang signs...but maybe I should look into it...)

                         I am thrilled with the crystal clear action!  No blur!

Wow.  What a difference.  Seriously, this camera does everything.  I loved my Canon Rebel 35mm, and this digital version has more than met my expectations!  

I used to take tons of pics, but have slowed down over the years, using a -bit-better-than-basic point and shoots.  This camera is the "hotel night" (use your imagination people)  I needed to fall back in love with photography.

FYI- If you are thinking of buying a new more expensive camera, I suggest avoiding the tons of websites that offer them for MUCH cheaper than reputable places like WalMart, Best Buy or Costco.  
These shops often sell what they call "Gray Market" (if the address of the site is NYC, this a good indication to be wary), the warranties are iffy and with a purchase like this, you are better getting it from a place you can take it back to if needed.  
Also, if the price seems low, be sure that the basic lens is included!  Digital SLRs are often sold by body only.  If it's too good to be true, it probably is!

Hi my name is Heather and I have the Canon Power Shot S3IS and I have no idea how to use it. Now that we have THAT out of the way, I must say that this is a great hobby for you to have. Think of all the famous kids you'll be able to photograph and send to me. Not the kids...just their pictures.

I have a cheapo digital camera, and it's just not cutting it. Hopefully, I will win the gift card, and I will put that money towards a new camera.

OB...No, not another tampon post.

I 'd like to start by proclaiming that I am in madly in love with my husband. In no way does this moment of "gyno-attraction" diminish his hotness and my love for said hotness.
