Glue Gun. Check. Ribbon. Check.

Oh, and you'll need at least one of these.  Maybe 10.

Which, after about 5 minutes and some hot glue, will become.......

I know.  So Stinkin' Cute.  Anyway, let's start with ribbon.....

Have I ever told you how much I love ribbon?  It makes things pretty.

And I love pretty.  Sigh.

On to the pumpkin decorating!

Choose a ribbon or two that compliment each other. I like these.

Glue the first color (in this case the solid blue) from the stem to the bottom.  I just glue at the top and the bottom... no need to glue all the way down, as the glue will often darken the ribbon.

See how the sides match up?  Now do that one more time for a total of 4 stripes.

Now add your second ribbon right over the top.  Again, only do a dot of glue at the top and again at the bottom.

Is this not so easy?  Now, I like to finish it off with a little bow.

I tie it and then glue it on.  I also like to add those cute scrapbook luggage tags and write things like: "Happy Halloween" or "Happy Harvest".  Then, we leave them for our neighbors on their doorsteps.  And, of course, give one to The Boy's teacher.

They also make fun and unique place card holders or centerpieces for fall festivities.

The great thing is, since you haven't cut them, they last through the season.  I'll do a bunch and put them all over.

So, I'm thinking.  What if we all do a few and post pictures.  I'll put up a little linky thingy and everyone can go look at each others?  How about on Monday?

For some reason, after my last birthday, I think my middle name is "Crafty"! Don't know why. I have never been before! LOL

I've got my hobby lobby list started and I'm ready to get the fall/Halloween decorating started!

Thanks for sharing!

Count me in!...Just remind me. I'm sitting here with Maile and she can't get enough of them...so I'm sure she won't let me forget. :)

Now excuse me while I scroll back up so she can see the "beautiful punkins".
These are very cute! And Lord knows, I've got plenty of ribbon.

We always do a "turkey pumpkin" for Thanksgiving. I bought it at a boutique. It's 5 wooden tail feathers and a little turkey head on large wooden spikes. You just poke them into a large left-over pumpkin and you've got an instant Thanksgiving decoration. I thought it was a brilliant idea!

Of course we have the same granite. I'm just sayin', is all.

Remind me...going to Walmart later in the week. I will never own up to the number of spools of ribbon I own. Once you reach 50 it's just embarrassing. Kind of.

I had to come back and tell you that I went to Michael's and got pumpkins and ribbons, because your idea totally inspired me.

And...is that a Fiesta Ware plate you are hot gluing on top of? It sort of looks like Fiesta Ware... The factory is in my hometown, and I have "2nds" in my cabinet. 4 plates for $1 baby! :)
